Q: How can our music school or retail location participate in Kids Music Day?
A: All music schools and music retail are invited to participate in Kids Music Day by holding a Kids Music Day event or promotion. Examples include, but are not limited to: Open Houses, student music performances, instrument donation drives, community/family jams, open mics, instrument petting zoos and Kids Music Day sales on instruments, lessons or accessories. We will help you promote your local events to your local media - Please contact us to have your location added.
Q: How is Keep Music Alive helping to promote our local events?
A: In addition to a national press release, Keep Music Alive is reaching out to local print, radio and TV media in towns & cities where Kids Music Day events and promotions are located.  We will also be running a Facebook marketing campaign the week of October 2nd, directing visitors to to locate Kids Music Day events in their area.
Q: How can we help promote our Kid Music day events or promotions?
A: The Media section on offers press releases, flyer and logos that can be customized for your event. We encourage you to utilize these resources to help promote your event to your local audience and to your local media. The more ways the media and public hear about an event, the more likely they are to write about it and attend.
Q: Our music school is closed that whole can we participate?
A: Some music schools are encouraging their students to hold House Cam Concerts at home. Students will do live musical performances at home (or anywhere) and live-stream the video while tagging their music school and #KidsMusicDay in social media.
Q: I teach music at a public, private or charter school. How can we participate in Kids Music Day?
A: You could hold a special music open house, schedule a student music performance/assembly or simply do something special or different in music class to celebrate.
Q: We run a music school in Canada (or Austrailia, Japan, anywhere) can we participate?
A: Kids Music Day is now an International holiday and we are adding music schools and retail locations from around the world. Please contact us to have your location added or for more information.
